hehe although the game wasn't actually that "great" I enjoyed the story though a bit short as it was. but I can't wait for clannad coming ot steam, my $80 easily goes to them day 1. it was announced a week after i wasted a few hundred bucks on full price sakura so i like to think of it as karma for me :3

Ideally both could coexist and we'd all be happy. However,that plan has one major flaw - people are stupid. Because it's not that popular of a genre,a lot of people form their opinions after only playing 1 game and judge the whole genre based on that(and something not even that). You can say,'but that's stupid,I can play a FPS and it sucks,that doesn't mean all FPS-s suck',but unfortunately this is what actually done in practice - I'm sure you can think of at least one person who was introduced to video games,didn't like what he was playing,and after 15 minutes declared that 'all video games sucks and are for lifeless nerds' or something similar.

I seem to have brought up something you feel really strong of. What you say is pretty much true for a lot of cases. I will still support VNs when I can, and even if they aren't very popular outside of their countries I don't lose all hope considering the crap that gets put out on greenlight and any other half-assed game. We can all just hope for the best.

Not intended,we both hope for the best - we just have different approaches :) I can't tell you what to do with your money,I can only hope to convince you so the next time you do something like this you'll spend your money on a more worthy title.
Honestly,Sakura Spirit is just a bad title no matter how you look at it. I'd be much more understanding if it was decent at the genre it is or even if the developer didn't have the reputation of an asshole.
