I'm not entirely sure, but you may be able to fix it by visiting this link while in Canada: http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=ca assuming ca is Canada (not entirely sure, since most examples are us or ru). Seems to be what other Steam users are reporting.

Yep, buying something off the market is the only quick solution.

I had this problem ... Had some money on the wallet when I was in India, Added some money after I came here to the US, I got the amount in my wallet but I could not make a purchase. Steam support can change the currency but will require you to show a solid proof that you are living in Canada. I could not and they just told me to use the web browser to buy things from the Indian store using the Indian steam store link. now whenever I add I can purchase games on the US store ... So my guess is you just have to spend whatever amount you have on market and then add the gift code :D

since you need a bit more money sell any trading card of yours to get wallet money, than try to spend everything you have so your wallet will be 0,00 and maybe this will do the trick for you so you can activate the gift card with other currency

that's problem... i just have 0,02 brazilian reais cents... I just found cards that cost 03 cents because the real price is 01 but plus taxes comes to 03 cents...

yeah thats why i said you should sell a card, that way you will have more than 0,02 and can buy something.
you just have to pick a card with the right amount afterwards so your wallet will be down to 0,00.

the problem is... how to find someone to buy my shit?? kkkkk

if you put a trading card on market for less then average price it just takes a minute or so until it's sold

how much is a Salvaged Mann Co. Supply Crate Series #50??? everybody is asking me for this one...

If i were you I would put a trading card on market for example your torchlight II from summer sale cards which you have twice, because those are sold quicker.
just make it cheap and it will be sold asap

torchlight II for 3 cents is good? I need just 3 cents to get 05 so i can buy something and empty my wallet. If I put the price as 3 cents the final price will be 05 cents... just remember that I'm talking about braziian currency.

of course that will work its average price is much higher so you will sell it in seconds if you put it up for that price

When you click the sell option for an item in your inventory you can see the average price for it on the chart, so if an item goes for $0.20 try to sell it for $0.15 (maybe even at a lower price if you want it gone quick) and voila.
Just like others said just sell a trading card. They're cheap and popular so they'll go quick.

Ok guys, let's try it o/
I will get frustrated if all this process does not change my currency kkkk

Things like emoticons and profile backgrounds usually cost around $0.02-$0.03 on Steam Market. I think you should buy a Fortix background for the sake of SteamGifts! XD

I have finally emptied my wallet o/
But still in brazilian currency... now its like R$0,00 when supposed to be $0,00 :(

try to add the funds to your wallet now, i think it changes after you have done so.
the reason you couldn't redeem it in the first place is because steam doesn't let you mix different currencies.

Edit: Nevermind! xD

By the way, I closed my tickets from Steam support, they are so incompetent that was more easy I trying to solve by my self and of course with your help guys.

Hi guys,
I'm from Brazil but I moved to Canada in 2012 where I still live. The problem is that before I came to Canada I had put some money in my steam wallet in a brazilian currency (Reais) and I bought agame but i didnt spent all the money, I left R$0,02 (brazilian Reais) and that is less than a penny.
Now I received an Steam wallet gift card but because the currency is different I cant activate my code.
All my account was changed to Canada and also I had bought a few Games here using an canadian credit card.
Can I just delete that 0,02 cents from my wallet? Because maybe if I empty my wallet the currency will automatically change.
I had already opened an ticket on Steam Support but they take too long to reply and I dont want to loose this weekend deals.... (They must to learn with Origins / EA support how to do this job... )
Thanks!
