Can we stop commenting "thanks" on the giveaway?

Most of the times, I thanks and say something creative or interesting. It's not always easy though. But no matter what, I ALWAYS thanks and probably always will, although I barely even enter giveaways anymore.

Making OCD people suffer is a trademark of internet fun. Can't ask people to stop now.

I once posted a thanks on a giveaway I won and it got rerolled. No warning.

first i think most of the thanks out there are just because ppl are risen by their parents to say it
they dont come from the heart
second because you can enter like more than 5 GA a day or howmuch ever
i dont think thanks can be taken serious when they are carried out million times
if someone enters my GA i can guess that the person appreciate it
and if someone rly winning a game
comment section is still open and thanking is a definetely have to

   21/35 did not read the description and thanked anyway(1 just posted smiley) - 2/35 jokes - 1/35 i dont know whats that good for, maybe this person want on black and whitelist haha, it wrote thanks and posted a funpic like i wished

   14/51 did not read description and thanked anyway

   13/82 did not read description and thanked anyway - 13/82 thanked additional to the alternative comment possibility i gave - 56/82 correct comments
5. GA http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/Engq6/hitman-absolution - in this one i wanted only to answer a question
   3/15 did not read description and thanked anyway - 2/15 jokes - 1/15 answered my q but thanked additional

i do not list how much commented out of the entrants cause there could be more than 1 comment per entrant and this is talking long enouth anyway

i nearly forgot that argument:
imagine the following:
you live in a city (or not, i dont care)
you could be glad that you did not got robbed and/or murdered one day more again
should you open the window and scream out of it "thanks bad ppl for letting me live another day normal, thanks for giving me the opportunity for that"?
so thanking for eventualy getting a game would be the same as thanking for not getting cancer this day
this is just a dramatic example to make clear what i mean
sure you sould be happy to not getting involed in a crime or a sickness (or illness or whatever you english talking ppl call that)
but no reason to bother other ppl about that
or writing obama or whatever president you have or a police chief a letter for doing a good job and things to not let the crime rate rise...
(you still should be thankful to ppl in your real life)

If you have such a problem with people thanking you, why not ask people not to comment on your giveaway, and set up a special rule that anyone who does comment will be re-rolled. All you need to do is to get clearance from Support, which shouldn't be such an issue now that there are some new members on the team.

None of your giveaways are public, so using this shouldn't be a problem.

Plenty of people have a similar rule in place, whereby non-commenters get re-rolled.
