Been thinking of what I can buy next.
I was thinking of buying a new monitor, to replace the dual monitors I have, but instead, have thought about buying a proper chair.
Have mostly been interested in a DX Racer or a Gorilla chair, but don't know what I should go with.

In a way, both chairs look pretty similar to each other.

Although, the gorilla chair is less expensive.
What do you guys think?

Given how similar they appear to be and the decent reviews on the Gorilla I see no reason not to go with the cheaper option assuming you can collect or that shipping doesn't massively impact the cost.

Shipping should be $3.90 for the Gorilla chair.

It does note it as a bulky item so there may be extra shipping charges but it's still significantly cheaper than the shipping for the DX Racer

Why are those chairs so damn expensive? You could buy a Lazy Boy recliner for that much which would be more comfortable!

You'd be lacking the height and seat adjustments which are somewhat important to proper ergonomics, assuming you're even using a desk.

I know, we're all used to making the chair fit the desk but if I could game in a recliner I would fit the desk to my chair. It's like the same issue with couch gaming with a keyboard/mouse. You just need the right accomodations.

I can't speak for the Gorilla chairs, but my DXRacer has lasted over a year without any issues and still as comfy as ever. I've only had cheap Walmart or Staples chairs before so having the cashions last over a year is a big thing to me.

When I was looking to make my purchase, I had seen some other imitation chairs vs other 'brand name' reviews and they all seemed cheaper. Keep in mind, this is hosted by the same site selling the chairs. Whether it was staged or not, who knows, but I imagine the chair used is sold by someone else somewhere.

Last night to note, I can't see any warranty information for the Gorilla chair nor can I find a site. Chances are the store you purchase from is your only avenue for immediate issues, after that you're on your own. DXRacer offers two years on parts except for seat wear.
