What do you think about Minecraft's 1.7 Update?

So, I was watching a youtube video about the new Minecraft's Update to be released tomorrow and... well, I've been testing all 1.7 minecraft snapshots and I have to say It feels modded for me. Looks like Tekkit.

What matters is the release log.

Anyway, I'm only worried for my wondrous castle; I understand I won't have to regenerate the world but will the new biomes be there somewhere or not?

If you go to a place you've never been before, you'll see the new biomes appear.

If they change world generation code, that will ruin your existing world (again).

i think you'll need to create a new world..but wait..you can just cut your buildings and paste them in the new generated world using MC edit :)

You need to update to 1.6.4 to prevent your witch huts and nether fortress to be broken
Then you can update to 1.7 and play it.
The new biomes will appear in new chunks.

Last time i was building on small island somewhere in the ocean, after update ocean suddenly ends with "wall" of stone dirt, and sand.

It seems they try to implement everything I want. :P
I like the features they will add, a friend has set up a server again, so I think this game can entertain me again for a while.

Btw, whats with the useless "I naaaaht plai Minecraft, Minecraft beeeed!" posts on everything that has to do with Minecraft?
The question was if people who play Minecraft like the new update, not if you are a hypocrite, who secretly loves Minecraft (because he clicks on everything with "Minecraft" on it), but who can't show his love for the game in public, because then his facade of ultimative alterniveness would be lifted.
I don't play Skyrim, CoD, Lol, Dota 2, WoW, GW 2, TF 2, Bf, TW: Rome 2, Saints Row 4 or GTA 5, obey my mighty, god sent, alternative Badassness.
I will go now and spread my useless information in threads about other games, just to look stupid.

already moved on from minecraft after indie games abused the blocky art and gameplay. I can't even imagine myself (if I was a moder) to stay that long to minecraft.

I just gave my minecraft account to my cousin who is genuinely having fun with it.

I've been trying to convince my post-Beta friends that everything 1.8 and after completely ruined Minecraft for me.

I've been playing on a server with my friend on 1.7.3 Beta and it's so fun. I thought the nostalgia would run out after a while, but no, it holds up surprisingly well.

Yeah I after 1.8 released I didn't get that same feeling of enjoyment and excitement when I entered my world. Also, it took away the neat simplicity which is the main thing I liked about it. They started to make it more like an RPG which is not what I felt Minecraft should become.

I gotta say, the niftiest part of it is the new Amplified world type. Makes my computer lag a bit, but damn is it neat to explore.
