Several winners for single giveaway

My last 4 giveaways all were listed as single copy giveaways but all have between 2-3 winners. I want to know if this happened to someone else before?

I am not really trying to find a solution since I already contacted support and I am waiting on their answer, I just want to know if it happened to someone before.

I felt kinda bummed about that too. At first I though I made a mistake and listed the giveaways as several copies which made me nervous but they are definitely one copy each.

Also i am intrigued by this best roll you are talking about.

i suppose they don't have the same rand, so if one of the three guys has a best rand than the others winners, he is the real winner. i'm not sure to be clear ^^.

I think for each giveaway, steamgift randomly assigns numbers to each participant (as in mmo for loot), and the winner is the one who gets the most number. So if three winners were selected by accident in your giveaway, one of them probably got a better score than the others and should be named the winner.

exemple : (i suppose the rand is between 1 - 100 000) winners are paul, jack and michel with this score :
paul : 100 000
jack : 99 999
michel : 99 998

admins just have to look who's the winner, in this exemple it's paul.

Rand is an abbreviation that means the number obtained randomly (sorry this is an abbreviation of mmo)

happened before but not that often.
though that being said, how did you manage to get that happen on all 4 giveaways since this usually is so rare you dont see this happen for months?
support will sort it out of course and you will see later only 1 winner when they are done.

I created all four one after the other. I think they were all bugged from the start as they all started 3 hours after I had listed them to start.

I'm assuming these finished when the site was twitching on the floor dead?

Because I'd imagine that could cause that sort of issue.

Didn't they all end when the servers crashed earlier today? That must be why they all bugged out and gave multiple winners. Just contact support with a ticket and explain the situation. They'll probably just reroll them all, or delete them and you can start anew.

I would much rather like a reroll than them deleting all the giveaways.

If i were one of the winners i'd be so pissed, i'd never won anything and the first time i do this happens... i really hope this won't happen on my first win.
