"Can not create direct 3D device" bug in some steam games.

I bought prince of Persia 2008 on steam but the game will never start.The error it shows that " can not create direct 3D device". Many gamers are facing similar problems on steam with older games.Any solution guys?

My config i7-4770
Ram 16gb
Rx56 vega amd

Try reinstalling DirectX... Might help?

Because Valve does not give two fucks about old games. neither does UbiSoft.

You need DirectX 90.c on your system: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35
There is also a good chance you need DxWnd to force it to windowed as it runs like ass in fullscreen (and stretches too): https://sourceforge.net/projects/dxwnd/
And to not make it lag like hell, most any systems need D3DOverrider: https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/84-d3doverrider/

So there is no way to run this game on fullscreen mode?

I played it a couple of months ago (but the retail version) and the game worked fine in fullscreen, so it might be just a localized problem.
