I was just curious as to what the most "expensive" Giveaway would come to. I've seen some 100P giveaways, but I wonder if there have ever been any that have been even higher.

I was thinking of buying the Daedalic Armageddon Bundle from Steam and doing a Giveaway for it. Its normal price is $174.99, but it is currently 90% off and costs $17.49. I already own this awesome set of games, and I'm sure it would make someone quite happy to win it.

I have one more question with regards to this. I am currently Level 3 (3.05 to be exact). If I do this Giveaway, does anyone know how close it would put me towards Level 4?

Thank you for any help with this.:)

Sorry. I realize my question was too obtuse. I meant cost in Points. :) Was there ever one that used up all 300P that a person has available to them?

A 100 points maximum, regardless of how much it goes over in price. CV is calculated from the price itself though, so you can get more than a 100$ CV from a 100-point giveaway.
As for the bundle you asked: it is on the bundle list, so around 26 dollars in CV. Would bump you a little closer to level 4 (to around 3.60).

100p to enter.
i think the most expensive pack on steam is some software worth $800.

btw, that pack is bundled. http://www.steamgifts.com/bundle-games/search?q=Daedalic+Armageddon+Bundle
always check before buying

Dang. I had gotten around .40 of a level with my Daedalic Adventure Bundle and it was a lot less money. I was kind of hoping it would get me to Level 4 or at least pretty close.

I knew it was bundled, but I thought it was a different kind of bundle than what Steamgifts normally considered bundled (since it was Daedalic that bundled it rather than HumbleBundle or the like).

Actually you only get bundle cv so 15% of $160 ( aka $24 in CV). The reason is that the bundle is on Bundle list.http://www.steamgifts.com/bundle-games/search?q=The+Daedalic+Armageddon

So after the giveaway you will still be at level 3 ( around 3.5 or so)

oh I forget, the enter fee a a giveaway is always at max 100 points no matter how much the games/bundles actually cost. However you will receive the full cv of the real value of the game/bundle ( of course bundle 15% prices rule still applied )

Dang. So I would be better off trying to find some different games to Giveaway rather than just this one. It wouldn't really be worth getting just the one Giveaway prize to just get to 3.5 or 3.6.

Thank you to everyone for the help. I will look for other goodies to Giveaway. Any suggestions of games that aren't bundled right now but are on sale that would make good Giveaways right now?

If you are just CV farming, buy IndieGala bundles when they get released (except the Monday ones). Then wait for a happy hour and buy another one, this way you get 5 bundles for the price of 2. If they are not full of free games, this method gives the most CV for a dollar.
(Or pay some Russians to buy games from their store and make region-restricted giveaways on non-bundled games.)

Unfortunately, I don't own any credit cards so I buy everything from Steam since I can just get Steam Cards pretty much anywhere.

If I do a giveaway, I don't want them to be region-restricted. While I may make giveaways level-specific, I want people from anywhere in the world to have a chance to win one of my giveaways.

If you cared about CV I would say going with bundled games might be a good choice. It's already marked as 15% value but you grab them at really low price and what you get is just like giving 80% off non-bundled, and you don't need to worry that bundle rule applies retroactively thing.

As far as non-bundled, I would say if that's something you really wish to share and recommend. I've given some copies of Cities: Skylines as that is a favorite game of mine, even though I have to buy it at 60% off.

Of you want the retail price from a game as cv, them discounts at 75% are most of the time the best you can get, so 1:4. €1 spent €4 CV. If you are lucky you find a 1:5 but dont know any now. Always check bundle list and remember not all bundled games are on I yet. It can be retroactively be bundle by 3 months or more. Because 1 person has too update everything alone

1:5 or 80% sale is an almost sure road to get the game bundled since it is on the verge of where the Russian price gets too low.
If the sale is not on Steam (and Steam never had a sale on that magnitude), it is safe, but I cannot really name any game that had an 80% sale off-Steam and less than that on Steam.

I know, thats why I said if you are lucky ^^ the Dawn of war complete pack was Luke that before it got bundled. Bought it in 2015 and held on too long -.-

I'm fairly certain I've seen 80% on steam, but I can't recall where.
Related: The Complete Grid Bundle saves 30% over getting the games individually, and is currently 75% off, which makes it 82.5% off altogether
$201.70 worth of games for $34.67 -> 82.811% off

(note that the games have been bundled, so you'd be looking at $30 CV)
