Wikipedia says
First World: Capitalist countries with market economy. (US, UK, ,Germany, JP)
Second World: Socialist countries with planned economy. (Cuba, Soviet Union)
Third World: Developing and Least developed countries. (South America, Africa)
If anything it would be Capitalist>Socialist>Developing having less with do with race than evironment of the location and country I think you are secretly racist because it seems to be a great word to use to end a conversation
See I just used racism incorrectly just like you

I think the PC terms are Developed/Developing countries. Btw cats if that info really came from Wikipedia it say something about never trusting what you read there, the Soviet Union hasn't existed for over 20 years and South America and Africa are not countries.

'countries. (South America, Africa)'
those aren't even countries...

Depends. If I am downloading a big arse game so I can play it the next day, then I leave it on. Otherwise, I turn it off. Whether turning it off harms it, idk. What I believe is that leaving it on likely increases your electricity bill. Don't quote me on anything, I just speculate.

it increases the electricity bill but not usually more than 5-10$

Eh, I never shut mine off completely, I just put it in hibernation mode when I go to sleep. Which is totally different.

Your PC would be beyond obsolete by the time any extra wear caused by starting and stopping it would cause it problems. Starting and stopping your car causes wear and tear, and your car costs much more than a PC, but you don't leave your car running 24/7 do you?

Yes and that makes no sense. Also why waste that electricity, we have to care a little for the earth right?

I read it as "we have to care for little earth" and that sounded cute somehow :D

I turn it off when I don't use it. Computers do consume a surprising amount of power, though less when idle.
It's not true that leaving it on would damage it less. Consumer-grade components have power saving features, which basically means they power themselves down completely or "throttle" power regularly (source: IT pros). Unless something else damages them, they will outlive their usefulness.

I turn it off when going to bed unless I'm downloading a big game.

Oh the perks of living with your parents. You or actually your parents will end up paying more if you leave it on, even if your computer dies, which will most likely won't happen, it would be cheaper to buy the part that died.

Well if you crap money or do something useful with it (rendering, folding, etc.), sure you can leave it on from the moment you got it to the end of time. But otherwise, what would be the point if letting it idle? Just for the lulz? It's not that hard to press the shutdown button.

I dont know if it's better to leave it on or turn it off every time I go to bed.
I heard re-starting the PC damages it more than leaving it on for some hours, but I would like to hear what you usually do.
