MSI Afterburner is great for any recording, even allows microphone at the same time, though no webcam as yet. You don't need an Nvidia card, I use an ATI/AMD Radeon and it works fine.
I use that followed by Handbrake to compress the huge AVI file into mp4 for easy Youtube uploads, such as my own ones here:

Yes, i have searced the web. I did not find anything of use.
Making a list of good free recording software here is not only good for me, but for anybody else on SteamGifts trying to find free recording software! ;)
