For windows, now that Winamp is gone forever... what is your suggestion of a good media player (only audio, i don't care for video integration)

AIMP3, stumbled upon this software after having to look for a new music player. It's easy to use, slick and it does the job better then winamp from what I noticed.

i use either kmplayer or vlc. if you go for kmplayer, get the 3.6 ver and don't update, newer versions suck

Try PotPlayer. It's from the same guys who made KMPlayer. It's like a better version of KMPlayer.

I'm gonna keep using Winamp like I've been using Winamp ever since that came out. Yes, I've been using that FOR EVER.

Sorry, I wrote it half asleep and I didn't express my feelings well :)

I love winamp and I doubt that I leave it even after they close the site. I already made a good backup of the installer and plugins that I use, so the site being shut down isn't a problem at all. I asked because I don't know what people are using and I remember a trend when Winamp 3 launched (and it sucked) people started to check alternatives. I really hate foobar visual presentation and jet audio is a bit cloggy to me.

I'm checking Music Bee and AIMP3 right now to see if i'm losing something. Checked trout but it's visual presentation didn't convinced me. =]
