Full price? For a full PC game maybe. It's worth what it costs on PS3, but the PC one? Not more than 10. That port is an insult.

Cut Fromsoft some slack. They have no experience porting or making pc games, the only reason they did the port was because fans asked for it. Namco Bandi did not allow them to hire a third party team to port it for them.

It's not perfect, not by a longshot. However all the port issues can be fixed in 5 minutes using a handful of mods. Have you played the pc version?

So why would I pay them, and not the modder who did better than them? Why can't they pay those modders for doing their work? I don't get paid for bad work, just because "I lack experience". Payment is for product, not goodwill.

Because the game is actually good, one of the best this generation.
Because the modder did a couple weeks worth of work while the game, assets and mechanics were done by the team from the ground up over numerous months.

Regardless, the mods aren't massive reworks but code injections.
Lack of experience is the real issue. How can they possibly make a good port when they have never done it before, denied by the publisher to hire an experienced third party and once again denied by the publisher for time?

I think they did a good job with what they had.

I'm talking value for money, that's what I pay for. That's not what they serve, so I don't serve money. As said, PS3 is worth the price, PC not. At least not for me. If you want to show devs they can do shitty ports as long as they have enough poor excuses for you, go ahead.

As you can see, they actually have the time and resources now and are focusing on a primary PC release for DS2. The port could have been much, much worse, like someone said, its not bad, just bare bones. Well worth the money for me.

The port is not an insult. It is just bare bones.
You want a bad port? Saints Row 2, RE4, Devil May Cry 3. Now THOSE are bad ports with less features than the console versions, worse performance and even more terrible controls.

No. They had very limited experience about porting PC games. Mostly because PC isn't a huge gaming system there.

Now they're adopting PC as the main development platform and will port it over to consoles next, I'd like to see more developers do that.

In dark souls i got stuck and ornstien and whatever in Anor Trollondo, game was great, tough and frustrating though, really enjoyed it however. Ill definitely be playing the sequel.. Hopefully i can beat it hahahaha
