I knew the last pic would give it away... that's the one!
(On mobile atm, will add sources later).

Somehow reminds me of the first Clock Tower on the SNES

Game I'm looking for isn't called "I am so sorry, I completely forgot D:". I'm pretty sure there's never been a game by that name too :P

I've not played it.
I was somewhat interested in it, until Gearbox stepped in to publish and decided to slap on full AAA pricing for good measure.
Apparently the game also released with enough bugs to rival Aliens: Colonial Marines to boot.

The castle layout matches 100% the one in Death's Hangover. So unless one game stole it from another this is the one I'm guessing.

Hints: Released in 2011, only on PC, last game in the xxx-logy (as in trilogy quadrilogy pentalogy hexalogy etc.)
More hints: Main protagonist is an elderly lady. Enemies are various dinosaurs and ants. You are rescuing certain kind of animals that are very popular among people in real life.

oh, I see.. I was asking because I played only the second and wanted to know which one was better (the first Tombi couldn't be found here).
The second is one of the best games I've ever played, and if the first were to be even better.. well, I'd have to get it no matter what! =P
oh, in case you get it one day.. I think you can unlock extra stuff if you have savegames of the first installment, so tell her to not delete those ;)

I played both, and I prefered the first one by far, especially because of the kinda bad 3D of Tomba 2 (and a lot of PS1 games) that quickly gave me headaches.
Tomba 2 is still a great game though, but I would rate it B+ when Tomba 1 would be A+.
Play them on PC with a pirate patch on the eye.

Journey of a Roach
Didn't really expect it but I figured it out based on the graphics from the first image even though I only know the game from entering occasional GAs for it :D

Gamers in Paradise?
Yes, the subtitle is a spoof on Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise. Because the last thread reminded me that no matter how good you think you are at something, there is always someone more masterful that you can learn from. :)
