Yeah I loved that machine. I think a lot of American 80's kids grew up having some familiarity with those, particularly since they were used in the school systems... Oregon Trail, Cross Country USA, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego :)
BTW, I've always wondered about your avatar, did you ever play Y's I & II on the TG-16/CD/TurboDuo? It was one of my first RPGs ever -- I think it was an included game with the TurboDuo and I have some fond memories of it and those old NEC consoles -- I don't think I've known anyone else who grew up with those consoles.

I grew up with Apple Panic, Mario Brothers, The Wonderful World of Eamon, etc. for Apple IIe, and my trusty Commodore 64! XD Jumpman, Lode Runner, Space Taxi, the Windham Classics adventure games... even Burgertime! lol~
Ys was one of MY first RPG's, too, and YES, I played it through on the TurboGrafx many times! Gotta love Feena (although the English voice they used for her was shudder-worthy... Sounded just like a little kid! >_<) I was always partial to Book II -- both the gameplay and the story were better.
