Never should have been in to begin with and I wouldn't support it for that reason alone. The Star Wars IP needs to go to a video game developer/publisher that can make a good game without having to shoehorn-in lootboxes and/or other microtransactions that inherently compromise game design and which they nickel and dime you to death with on top of an already full-priced release. EA has had two cracks at it now and twice they have failed miserably. There shouldn't be a third time.

So they did bring back control type multiplayer matches with a huge spacebattle between the 2 bases and multiple types of spaceships including troop carriers?

I played it through Origin Access, for the graphics and singleplayer campaign. It's pretty good for that limited "purpose". :)

The SP campaign is about 5 hours, and more if you go for the collectables and pause every now and then to look at the great scenery. Gameplay-wise it's not groundbreaking but doesn't make any big mistakes either.

Just looked at Amazon for the hell of it and I saw that Battlefront 2 is on sale again for pc. Price is US $5.99.
