So.. hello guys.. So recently.. My connection to Dota2 SEA servers are quite bad, 180ms ping with >10% packet loss.. totally unplayable.. did a tracert and it happens that my ISP route my connection to Taiwan before routing back to Singapore which causes the spikes.. Anyone knows that is it legal to use VPN while playing dota2? As i know that you can't use VPN to avoid region locks and prices, but not sure about playing games using a VPN.. Anyone? please?

I've noticed that there is something weird going on with Valve Servers for DOTA 2 since 2 updates ago. A lot of players have also mentioned about the packet loss in EU west and US east servers as well.

Playing games on VPN is fine.
I need VPN to even run the client and I play VAC games too.

VPN use is only restricted when you're using it to bypass purchase and activation locks. It's fine when using it for casual, non-violating use.

I was playing games on vpn for half a year because steam is now unavailable on the university network.
I even played Dota. But it's pretty slow so i wouldn't recommend it.
