You should really stop caring about blacklists. Why is this so important to you?

Can't you see a slight difference between "not caring about blacklists" and "not caring at all"?

So, how exactly those blacklists affected your efforts or your hobbies?

As you wish. If you really think blacklists are important - well, bad for you. You can find some solace in the fact that the ones who blacklisted you are also blacklisted from your giveaways, because blacklists are mutual.

Don't let it get you down. I checked out your GA. I see nothing wrong with anything you said. There are a lot of great people here. If someone blacklisted you for that GA where you are clear in your statement and intentions well.... they are really just blacklisting themselves from all your future GAs.
Good luck and Have a good day. :)

They don't have to be developer keys. There are (mostly russian) sites where you can buy shovelware dirt-cheap.

No CV, it's got the double asterisks.
Maybe that's the reason for some of the blacklists, suspicions of farming keys from a mass giveaway?

Personally, I wouldn't think it was worth complaining that I got 25 blacklists along with almost 5,000 entries from a giveaway promoting my Youtube channel using no-CV keys currently available in a mass giveaway, especially considering, as has already been pointed out, this post will unfortunately probably just get you more blacklists, but... Well, I hope you feel better after a little venting!

It's not just Steam and SG - The internet is a place like this. If you haven't noticed until now, you've been extremely lucky.
My advice to you? Don't let such trivialities get under your skin - You'll accomplish much less by complaining about the community than by trying to improve it by avoiding getting riled up with a few poor experiences, and instead focus on the positive impact a community has had on you. Your attitude in this thread will not improve anything - I understand you're frustrated, I totally get that... but venting your frustration on the community (most of which have done nothing to you) will not get you anywhere.
Just try to carry on and don't mind blacklists so much. They don't mean anything.
I have over 100 blacklists and I don't recall doing anything particularly horrible to anyone on SG - People will disagree with you, dislike you, envy you, belittle you... There are tons of reasons someone would feel they have some kind of justification for their action, and that's okay. Because they can do what they want with their blacklist. The only thing you can do is choose how getting blacklisted will affect you.

If there ever was a reason for my lack of motivation in regards to this site and even Steam itself as of lately, is the lack of support and common sense exhibited on a large scale by seemingly mature and civilised communities which not only seem filled to the brim with hate and envy, but also try their hardest to hinder individuals which they deem unworthy perhaps. I had 25 blacklist entries this morning, before hosting a 50 key giveaway on which I "dared" to promote my reviews and Steam group. My hard work. On which currently three new individuals took a dump. I expect more than the current 28 blacklists to collect as the time passes before my giveaway ends. I am fine with it, do as you like but bear in mind that your actions are part of the reason why Steam and SteamGifts have left a sour taste to countless honest folks which only had the best intentions. Keep paving that road, you're doing an excellent job!
