Are you excited for this?

Excited for it? No, but I will watch it nonetheless. I didn't much care for the game itself or find it as touching as some people have, but I'm still interested to see how it translates to movie format. Good for the creator that his work is still doing well.

Sounds awesome! Of all the games I've played, it's really one that comes to mind as deserving of a good adaptation. So poetic and deep and just beautiful. I hope they do it justice but it seems like they are setting a high bar for themselves so the odds are good

Whoa, no jokes? That's pretty impressive. Yet to be seen if it's going to be good or not.

True, but the game creator seems confident and like he knows his stuff. Plus apparently he's going to have quite a big part in the development, so it should of course be faithful to the game and know the interests of the viewers coming from the game.

Damn hadn't heard of Rakshasa Street before, so thanks for that :D But yeah, you're right. There's a market for it in China and they're starting to take advantage of that. I recently watched Quanzhi Gaoshou/The King's Avatar and that was surprisingly good as well. I think this trend is just going to continue and continue.

I really wanna be excited for this, since I loved the game so much (it's one of only a handful I've ever written reviews for), but at the same time I fear being disappointed, so I won't let myself get too excited. The story is there, and I hope they do it the justice it deserves.

No giveaways in this thread, sorry ( :( ) but I thought this was some pretty interesting news, since 1- the game is so loved by many on steam, 2- such a thing is pretty unheard of (a small indie game like this getting an anime adaptation) and 3- it's apparently a joint effort from both China (main funding) and Japan (production)
Here's the creator of the game announcing and discussing it:

What are your thoughts on this? For those that have played the game, are you going to watch it?:O
