At least for Arena I think i heard that at first they were going to make an arena rpg-ish fighting game but then the game kind of evolved to become nothing close to it. But they still decided to stick with the name.

the elder scrolls is a series of games ending with skyrim... so its only natural u dont get to find it till later releases played morrowind oblivion and skyrim never ended morrowind xD so i dont know about that but done my research long ago and that is what i found out maybe what u do in the pre oblivion it to help secure the elder scroll despite u never actually see it

I do believe it is a bug, and I was being heavily sarcastic in my reply.
BUT, the finale to the trilogy released and many are comparing the ending of it to Mass Effect 3, so I think it's really funny, though probably just a glitch.

I was discussing it other day with some friends, there are games that call your attention with their names but they are completely misleading.
e.g. I expected "Retrovirus" to be something about infection, epidemy and drug treatment, I expected "Natural Selection" to be some sort of improvement over Spore, I expected "Epigenesis" to be something marvelous since I can't even imagine a game about epigenesis, but what I really saw was... shooter, shooter, shooter! Also "Darwinia" is a RTS that, well, has actually nothing to do with Darwin...
What game names do you people think are totally misleading, have cool words but say nothing about the actual gameplay?
