Hi everyone. I'm a longtime user of this site, and I really like it. Recently, I learnt that this site has a sister site called steamtrades.com. I decided to join up, as I've got some old Steam keys which I could trade. But I couldn't seem to be able to post a new offer onto there. Any idea why?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

After login there should be a menu at the top. One of its buttons is called "Trades", upon clicking it there should be "New Trade" and "My Trades". New Trade should lead to a menu to setup a new trade thread.
Does it not show up for you?

Thanks! Now I wonder why I failed to notice that there's a dropdown button.

Just beware that the traders there can be brutal about offers. It's rare for me to get what I want or need. I do get a lot of people wanting to unload their games they got for free or ones I already own for what I have.

Or they will completely ignore your trades.

Yeah just best to not go into the whole trading thing (and gift your games just here).

Will save you a lot of headaches, but that's just my opinion.

Use barter instead. barter.vg is the URL. Trading is much more effective there, since you can set your trade offers to wishlist games only. This way you avoid all those people flooding you with their lists of freebies, asking for the most valuable items in your collection in return.

If it's your first time trading, they'll expect you to give your game first as you'll have 0 rep. Just beware of scammers, try to first build rep with people who have a good amount of rep. a few hundred rep would be decent. It's the wild west out there but I've had good success. Best of luck. And one more thing.. NEVER trade giftlinks, humble has cracked down on that. Only trade keys that you revealed.

best of luck
