Are you happy to Exhume some of 2022's best?
that's exciting. two wishlisted games... first time after almost one year and a half.
well, about haiku, i remember the developer posting it on 9gag and i wishlisted that title.
i'm glad this game have enough quality to end up on humble bundle at this price.
ps.: no region locks to south america nor banana-land.

Submerged: Hidden Depths is the only one that interests me, so at 20 USD that is hardly a deal.
I don't think I've even heard of any of the other games, but that's probably on me. :D

I loved the first one (Won it on Steamgifts!) so I'm looking forward to the sequel getting bundled again.
I'm not on Epic so I didn't get it there...but I'm glad since in theory that lowers its value.

Just my luck that one game from each tier is on my wishlist, and I'm not interested in any other games, makes this pricing really tough for me - Easy pass

Perhaps if they included some older game for a 1$ T1, I would agree. But to have new games in T1 for 1$ would be insane, like literally. 1$ for newly released game is just insane to ask for. Plus, we are already getting an 80% off the combined sale price for T1 for example. For me, who is interested in T2 and 4 out of the 6 game's I'll get, the price is a steal. It comes out to about 5$ a game. I know not all games will hold the same interest with everyone so of course 20$ for you and me will bring different value, but still, I think people are asking way too much to have newly released games be part of a 1$ tier or T3 be less than 10$ but have never bundled before games that recently released. That is just entitled. I would rather have these kinds of bundles with newer games for prices like this and also bundles of old for older games that use the old humble tier system.
Comment has been collapsed.
T1 had new games for 1$? Constantly? Cheap T3 with new games? Can you link any bundles like this? People also claim Monthly was better before. But from what I saw, many of them I wouldn't have bought due to the poor headliners, since the rest were hidden until release and you didn't know about them. So, golden age to you, but not so much to me. I prefer this current system - 10$ and you see all games you get.

And so on. I could continue this list forever.
Yes, they did this regularly. A big bundle would release every other Tuesday with the structure presented above: At least 3 new to bundle highly anticipated games in tier 1 for 1$ (or actually even for 0.01$, if you only wanted the game DRM free and not on Steam), Beat the average middle tier with even more awesome games that usually settled in around 4-6$, and a top tier with one or two games in it for around 8-12$
And then there were the smaller weekly bundles every Thursday following the same pattern, but with lesser known games, or themed.
All of that was before the Monthly even existed. And this is only talking about Humble. There were a ton of other bundle sites around, bundling just about everything out there for little money. However, it doesn't look to have been a sustainable model, most of them don't exist anymore, and Humble as well as Fanatical do pricing like they do now.
It was such a fest.

Sorry, but if these were the "big" bundles, I would have been disappointed many times. Plenty of uninteresting games in these bundles to me, T1 or not. The only bundles that would be a definite buy for me would have been the Indie Bundle 19 and Humble Indie Bundle: All-Stars. But the rest were disappointing. Maybe a game or two I like, but not enough to get me to buy the bundle. And I didn't see "new" and good games like this bundle provided for cheap constantly. And by new, I mean less than a year old or so. Most of the stuff you linked has older games being bundled. Also, none of these bundles are better than last year's Best of Boomer Shooter Bundle, Humble Heroines Bundle, 2K Megahits Bundle, Middle-Earth and Beyond, Humble Residen Evil Decades of Horror Bundle, Humble Capcom Summer 2022, and so on.
Heck, none of the ones you linked are better than the Wadjet Eye Games Bundle or the bundle of this thread, at least to me.
We will see how they price new bundles going forward, but I don't mind this approach if the quality keeps on being this good. The price is acceptable and the offerings are good and fresh. You also have to take into account that developers and publishers need to want to put their games in tiers for cheap. So, if they don't want to do it, Humble can't do much.
Comment has been collapsed.
D'uh, of course these games are not new anymore. But when these bundles released, six, seven, eight years ago, they were.
And you're totally missing my point. I don't care if they cater to your taste or not.
T1 had new games for 1$? Constantly? Cheap T3 with new games? Can you link any bundles like this?
You asked these questions, I answered them.
Comment has been collapsed.
They were not new even then, what are you on about? Most of them were out for more than a year before they were put in a bundle. You should really read what I actually say, instead of stopping halfway through.
And no, I'm not missing your point. I asked you to show me consistent bundles with new games (meaning bundles with games that were out for a year or less). You did not provide those bundles. You just selected a bunch of bundles you liked, with them having old games. So, again, please read this part carefully — by new, I mean they were out less than a year or just a little over it. So, no, you haven't answered my question, you just assembled a bunch of bundles that don't meet the criteria I ask for and tried to pass them off as the answer to my question.
Comment has been collapsed.
Thanks for the potatoes, they are at least useful, unlike your sorry excuse of an answer to my question. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Not like you answered my question anyway. So, you're already on the right path xD

While I also prefer the bundles we get these days and consider the prices not thrilling but fair, your attitude here is quite embarrassing. Your question was answered, you just don't agree with the interpretation of some details like which game should be considered "new".
Generally it makes little sense to compare bundles from 10 years ago with those of today. People tend to forget how different the games industry was back then. Fewer indy devs with simpler games that didn't sell as well on the regular store as they do now. And we got way fewer bundles per year than we get now.
Not to mention all sorts of competition from EGS freebies, Game Pass etc. Ofc a $1 tier won't be as compelling as it used to be.
Comment has been collapsed.
No, my attitude is quite fine and fair. I asked a question, but the person didn't answer it, yet still tried to make it seem like they did. My question was, and I quote "T1 had new games for 1$? Constantly? Cheap T3 with new games? Can you link any bundles like this?" The person did not provide me with bundles that had new games, which I already explained what I consider as new.
A new game is a game that was released recently. I was not talking about a game new to a bundle. That would be an unbundled game, which is completely different. If you want to interpret my saying "new" as "new to bundle/unbundled" that's your fault, as I did not say that. So, my suggestion — stop trying to put words in my mouth to suit your argument and actually read what I write before responding.

I really don't mind paying 5 bucks for a game... the ones I want to play. I'm not going to pay that price per game for a bundle of random games with only one on my wishlist.
Bundles are a mixed bag by nature. You buy them when they feel interesting enough as a whole or if there are a couple of games you already had flagged and you take a chance on the games you don't know. The "bundled" price offsets the risk you take buying games you may not want to play
Also if I'm going to pay more than 5 bucks per game, I'd rather give the money to the devs than to Humble.
Comment has been collapsed.
I think they are priced fairly, but I bought 8ish games in the past month, so I'm not really starved for the 3 interesting games for 18€ or so.
It starts with 14€ , that is used to be tier 3's value. Good as a buy, expensive-ish as a bundle - without a cheaper option/tier.
Also jokes aside, I'm pretty sure some people are waiting for either games getting cheaper / piece, or for a bundle that asks for less money upfront.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, people are slightly irrational. Not to mention entitled, always expecting something like a $1 tier just because this was once a standard.
While it certainly isn't a cheap bundle, I still can get Zero Sievert and more great games for pretty much the same price that I paid just last month, when I gifted Zero Sievert to a friend.
Comment has been collapsed.
The prices are fine. I just don't want to pay $20 for an entire bundle with only two games I want when I can do a group buy for $3 for each game or wait a few more months for a cheaper bundle. I like having options in the games I pick (aka Fanatical) rather than what Humble does.
Comment has been collapsed.
games in Tier 1 are all great for me though. the others have early access games and I'm not interested in this kind of games because they are often always full of bugs and nobody knows when and if they will become complete. look at 7 Days to Die for example. it is 10 years in early access
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, sure, but if you are interested in 5 out of the 6 games that you get in T2, then it's a pretty great price. T1 is already a massive deal, if you want to play the games now, with a 80% discount on the total sale price for all the games in T1.
Comment has been collapsed.
You really do have to be interested into everything though, and it rarely happens in any bundle, not to mention already owning some of the games.
I'm not saying 20 bucks for 6 games is a bad deal. Hell, if it was a "pick your games" deal, that'd be a steal, but it's not, it's a curated list of games so the odds of being into all of the games in T1+2 is not necessarily super high for everyone.
Comment has been collapsed.
True, that is always the downside of bundles, but a reason why I like trading. Something I don't need can be turned into something I do want. You can also buy bundles in groups. Still, I usually go with a simple rule - 3-4 games for Monthly (if its all the headliners then its an instant buy) and for bundles, I usually like to see how old the games were, how deep the discounts on sale are, and of course, 3-4 games I need to be interested in.
I do think there is a place for these bundles. I wouldn't mind non-bundled and new titles (indie games of course, don't think this would be possible for AAA, even AA games) in bundles priced like this while we also keep the older tier system for older games. Best of both worlds and more for us to choose. Also would like to see more build your own bundles from humble. Don't know why this is not present anymore on Humble, or perhaps I'm just missing them when they are.

Thank you very much!
Before the change to this horrible layout, the prices in different currencies were available in the source code of the bundle page, so it was easy to fetch them all in one go. However, after they switched to the new layout, they removed this, together with a lot of other valuable information. Prices for other regions can now be fetched only by VPN-ing to those regions.

Meh the games don't look bad, it's just for this price point is just way to high for them atm... Although a couple of the games probably wont be bundled again for a while, i'm happy to take the chance on some of them getting rebundled in the future. Hard skip.
Comment has been collapsed.
HumbleBundle really raised prices of the bundles... Guess "Charity" isn't the main objective any more IGN gains intensifies.
But on the other hand, it has 3 wishlisted games in here, OOOHHHH WHAT A DILEMMA!... Gues i won't buy pizza this weekend.
Comment has been collapsed.
How come? The sale price of each T1 game comes to 68€ in my region. T1 price is 14€. So, 54€ saved. I mean, the games will go on bigger sales, and maybe be part of lower-priced tiers in the future. But if you want to play any of them now, an 80% discount doesn't seem like a small price cut and like a good deal. It's 3-4€ per game, which you won't see for any newly released game that has a base price like these games.
Comment has been collapsed.
Maybe it's just entitlement speaking this time but I remember how in the past we could get a tier two or even three for 15 bucks, I get that prices are increasing all over the place and gaming isn't immune to that, but it feels wrong somehow.
Also after checking the Steam prices in my region and doing some quick conversion math I can get the games in tier 1 (right now, with no discount) for about a third of that price, so no, not much of a deal.
Comment has been collapsed.
Humble doesn't have region pricing for you then I assume? For me, I would save 80% for T1 games since my prices are in € on Steam and on Humble.
Comment has been collapsed.
Those prices might not stay put for long tho, as our currency keeps falling more and more publishers have been opting to rise the base prices for as much as 500%. But yeah, for now it makes more sense for me to just wait for a normal sale for the couple of games I actually want.
Comment has been collapsed.
What's weird for me is the fact that they put early access (and niche) games in the higher tier... =_=
I might have interested in tier 2 because of submerged, but zero sievert is a NO go
either Tier 1 or skip (the value is not that good anyway)
Comment has been collapsed.
I missed submerged on epic but at least it looks good, zero sievert is what turn me off for tier 2.
$15 is too expensive for tier 1, I don't like Source of Madness (looks too frustrating to play), if it's $10 I would take it for supraland and other 2 games. Guess I'll skip this one.
Comment has been collapsed.
No, it's ZERO Sievert. It may be a good game, but it looks like a game made with RPG Maker - and these aren't my kind of games.
I own the EGS version of Submerged, but because I own the first game on Steam, I like to have both games there; don't like it when games of a series are scattered over different clients.
I am very hesitant, when it comes to EA games, but if there are regular updates, I sometimes give them a try. And in this case, they aren't that expensive.
Comment has been collapsed.
You're welcome!
I don't think SG is really the target audience for a bundle like this.
I'm curious though, why do you think that? Is it because of the price, or because of the content?
Comment has been collapsed.
T2 seems nice. Shame you get the sequel but not the first game, since the stories are connected (Submerged). I know not all bundles will be less than a 1$ per game, like the Wajat one, but this is still insane value for me. 5 games for 3-4$. Not bad. And all unbundled games, all that were released last year, so pretty new still. Great price IMO when you look up the HL for each game.
