Not sure if that works, tried it on myself and it says I have many games not added. Also tried it on you and it showed you didn't activate Galactic Civilizations® II: Ultimate Edition.

Play Sid Meier's Pirates!® and sell the card drops you get from it if there are any, I got many games by selling trading cards. Then you can buy TF2 keys with the money and sell them for PSN codes.

as an official playstation mvp i can say by entering tournaments on sony forums and or by joining our rewards program each game or sony movies bought you earn points that can be traded for psn cards i've used that myself nothing directly free though

There's 3 more or less effective methods, see which suits you the most:
- Ask your parents with a PRETTY PLEEEEEEEEEAAAAASSSEEEE.
- If the above doesn't work, ask your grandparents.
- A few weeks before your birthday, send your frends a wishlist with the games you want.
Remember, in all this 3 methods you have to specify that you want a digital copy, because if not you might get a phisical copy instead of a free key, and let's be honest, who wants a shiny new box/cartridge/disk when you can have a series of numbers and letters.

PSN do events where you could get free games, but its been a while since the last one. Outside of that, there is a game (title unknown, as I don't have a compatible device to try, so just Google for it) for Android and iOS devices where you can earn a PSN key for Fat Princess (PS3). There is nothing else.

Well, depends where you live, but if you don't mind digital copies, PSS sure will have some dank discount on this games. There is also a rumour that say they plan to remaster trilogy on PS4, sometimes around premiere of Uncharted 4.

No, all the games I mentione above was from PlayStation Store. Three titles from EA was some kind of gift, but I forgot the occasion. Uncharted 3, like i said, could be a price glitch and about Theme Hospital... I'm not sure, it just was free on PS Store page :P
I remember few 'giveaways' from developers (?). They just gave few keys to some Polish gaming sites and it ended in first come first served. But to be honest last time I saw something like that was before PS4 premiere.

The PAL and US people did it differently. PAL regions had keys through Facebook and Twitter stuff, I got 6 or more games that way. Since then, we did get some other stuff on PAL PSN, but price errors (Minecraft) or the EA deal of three games.

Ehhh... Do you even know how PSN works for PS3? No, you don't. But, it's okay, you might have mistaken it with PS+, where, indeed, you have to pay a subscription to have free games and some discounts. We can argue how 'free' that is, but in prime time of console that was really a good deal.
But about Uncharted 3 - it was free on PSN US, but even if you had PSN US account created in Europe it worked. Some say it was PSS price glitch, some say it was to gain attention (It was short time before announcement of Uncharted 4).
The fact is that game was free for, I think, a day?
