It really is something else! I've been reading the comics on the off seasons. The shows are all SO different from the source material. I think that's a good thing, though. The comics are good in their own right, but they're also quite dated. I like the differences the showrunners have made =)

Indeed, The Young Pope was such a unique experience, unlike all the other American shows. Unfortunetely S02 is really far away, but if you are not familiar, I'd recommend Sorrentino's other movies, especially Youth and the Great Beauty. They are both pretty amazing as well.
