Get recuva and get your data back, as long as you havn't completely overwritten the drive or formatted it securely it can probably pull the data from the drive. Yes, even if the drive is broke youd be amazed at what you can pull from it.
Connect your broken drive to the PC which is running from another drive, run recuva with the deep scan features, find your data. ??? PROFIT!

sorry to hear about your hard drive. i lost almost 300 gig of pictures, music, movies and other stuff when I tripped over the cord of my 1tb external hard drive, which caused it to slam into the floor while i was booted on it while writing files to it. it never booted up again. the pictures i lost were only backed up to that hard drive. i lost about 2000 pictures that were lost forever.

I had this mix that I had been working on for months, doing many thousands of edits, etc. Computer broke. Lost almost all the data. All that remains is this short demo intro for it, but I'm still pretty proud of even this little bit. It's not a complete mix, it was a work in progress, and this was from months ago. I hope at least someone is interested in what I was doing:
