I have been banned by PUBG developers because the developers said i have cheated . But i never cheat as you can see in my stats. So it's easyer to get rid of legit players and keep the game just how they like it ! Full with cheaters ... I haven't abused of any of their specified "rules" https://www.pubg.com/rules-of-conduct/ they just don't like as I criticize them ... They can enjoy their filthy game ..

Confirmed cheater stats !
https://pubg.op.gg/user/smuckey

I thought that this must be a mistake and that it will be resolved easily. I mean, I did nothing different than the 2000K hours before.
Their "custummer support" will say you the same thing all over again! You can unbann you account because you have cheated you have been banned = case closed!

This is the same case what happened to me ! I did recorded a suspect and alt tabbed to post the video on their "customer support".. So yeah i'm a stuppid cheater you know ....

Thank you MatzeAtze for helping to figure out what happened!

they maybe banned you for shit talk?

also, these guys weren't making cheats for their own game and selling them?

Yes , maybe . You can guess anything except the main reason they banned me ... cheating . And if I broke a rule beforehand, they probably warned me or banned me several times before. So to say that you cheated only to have reason to ban someone when clearly there is evidence that this has not happened shows that they can ban you anytime for anything ...

Smuckey, I believe you. Sorry for my bad english in advance.

Something similar just happend to me and I had the same experience with the customer support. This is how I found this thread, to see if maybe the anti cheat AI is going wild and banning legit players out of the bluehole.
Here is what happend to me:

I played a round, got killed and was suspicious if it was a cheater. I watched the replay (not the deathcam) to see if he/she was wallhacking and checked that players stats at pubg.op.gg to see, if that superhuman senses come with superhuman stats. After I tabbed back into the replay, I got the message that I got banned (No VAC, banned by developers).

I thought that this must be a mistake and that it will be resolved easily. I mean, I did nothing different than the 1047 hours before. Right? - Wrooooong!

I wrote a ticket to the support to ask them what was going on and if my account was hacked. I could see on pubg.op.gg that no one has played rounds with my account, so I'm pretty sure my account was not hacked and abused. Here is their answer to that:

"Please note that even without having any programs specifically for “hacking/cheating” there are other programs or actions that can violate our Rules of Conduct and cause a permanent restriction.

  • Software that bypasses the services in the game
  • Programs that alter the game in any way (even if it is not for cheating)
  • Cheats, macros, etc, for other games and not for PUBG is still a violation of the game’s services."

The support gave me the time and date (korean timezone), where the "infraction" IN GAME took place. The thing is, that was at 5:54 AM in my timezone and don't tend to sleepwalk nor has my account been used at that time, as I mentioned before.

I told them that I can proof that my account was not used at that time. I simply can not have been in game at that said time. I asked them, if maybe watching that website was against the TOS. They did not give an answer to that (by the way, does one of you guys know if watching stats at pubg.op.gg is against the TOS?). But even if it was against the TOS, it would not fit to the time and date they mentioned. Also it was obviously not in game because I was watching a replay. So I put their nose into that. One would think, if a suspect was evidently not at the crimescene at the time the crime has happend, he can not be the criminal. Right? - Wroooong. Their answer was:

"Violations of the terms and services do not just include cheating/hacking programs but also any programs that alter, bypass or modify the game or its services in any way (even if it is used for non-cheating reasons)."

They didn't even respond to the fact, that the time they are reffering to simply can not be correct.
I asked them again to check the details. I explained all the above once more (no games played at said time and date, watching stats while watching a replay, IF this was banable it does not fit to time and date). I also mentioned, that esp users get a 24 hour temp ban and whatever I am accused of have been doing, can not be worse than what those players do and should not deserve a perm ban. I mean, really guys. What could I have done to deserve a harder punishment than espwallhackmakrolosers?

Their final answer:

"We are sorry to know that you feel this way and we appreciate you for reporting cheaters in the game. However, the account has violated the terms and services and is permanently restricted.
We do not provide specific details on what had triggered the violation due to security reasons. We do not provide any retests of restrictions since it is being done internally. We have no other information or details that we can provide to you about this situation.
Please refrain from sending multiple tickets on the same subject. If you continue to submit the same ticket continuously, we will have to categorize this as an abuse of our support system and cease any future assistance."

They did not even care about their own details they shared with me. I understand that they don't share their insights concerning anti cheat stuff, but nothing they say applies to me. And I explained and proofed that to them. I very much think that this should be reason enough to look at it once more. They even admitted that it was not because of cheating software but because of "programs that alter, bypass or modify the game or its services in any way (even if it is used for non-cheating reasons)". I don't use a VPN (why should I?), no macros, no overwolf. Hell, I have a cheap 3 Euro mouse. An additional button would break that thing.

I just pulled the Karen-move and asked for the supervisor but I don't have high hopes I will hear form the support again. Still, I'm perm banned now. I still have no idea why. And the "infriction" can not have happend at that time and date. But, hey - PUBG is very sorry and understands that this is frustrating... yeah, right.
"We ask for your understanding of the situation and we hope to provide a better gaming environment for all our players." Sure you do.

What did I learn from that? Cheaters can go wild on any server using VPN, ruining the game for everyone else and get a temp ban. Rarely getting a perm ban after "further investigation". You all know that from your notifications when "helping to keep PUBG clean". While legit players get perm baned for (by what i know so far) no reason at any time. Proof of innocence does not matter here. Pure arbitrariness.

What do you think, guys? Any idea why this happend or what I can do to get rid of that mark of shame on my steam profile? I don't feel like touching that game anymore anyway.

Thank you and happy holidays!

Yes this is the same answer they offer every time> It doesn't matter anymore. I'm glad I got rid of these "developers" and just wanted to warn some of you that this can happen even if you're innocent.I played this game for two years in the same way! To say that I used something suspicious seems very stupid when it comes to statistics that confirm I never cheated! Bluholle logic and gues
Thank you very much for your attention and happy holidays to all!

If you spent money on that game recently and indeed did not cheat in any way, do a chargeback. That will get their attention. My friend did that once after he was accused of cheating in a game and didn't ever cheat. That forced them to actually look into it and he got unbanned. Some of those support people can be on a power trip and are not willing to listen to them peasant players, even the honest ones.

Well, seeing the complaints of other players having the same issue right now, I come to think that there aren't actually humans answering these tickets. Like Smuckey wrote: same answer every time. It seems more like a line of defense than customer support.

That's very possible, but it also could be a real person reading and then selecting one of their generic, pre-written responses. I hate when companies do that.

That is possible indeed. I used to work in customer service a few years ago and answered emails from ISP customers. Trouble shooting and stuff.

It is common to shortcut specific phrases that you use often to save time. But these responses are identical. I could be wrong but from my personal experience I doesn't "feel" like it is even copy pasted. I have read a lot of topics on this today and all responses of the support were identical.

PUBG is more of a hardcore battle royale, while Apex is much more casual... I don't say one is better than the other, both have pros and cons.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Hm, I always thought opposite. TTK as low as in PUBG makes dying much more random thus theres no tactics thus casual. I've seen pro streamers dying in pubs because of a single random bullet, which is never the case in Apex. And then restart (bcos theres no revive lol). In Apex you need to know how to hit consistently, not just randomly shoot in enemy direction until one single bullet will hit and make him instantly die

Why would anyone play one of the dozens of zombie survival horror battle royales when there are far better games is the better question. They just keep cloning the same game and people imagine it's something new and better every time.

Don't take it to heart, when it comes to hacking(or most illegal stuff) it's just hard for people to believe other people only on their word alone. Most people want proof in order to believe you and since in your case it's impossible to get proof then of course you can't get much sympathy. I know my example might be a little extreme but would you trust a person accused of murder only on his word with no proof? Of course not, your first instinct is to doubt him and it's normal. If I had no proof I wouldn't expect people to believe me even if I got banned for no reason myself.

Thanks for the kind words ! I just hope that no one will miss what I suffered ... it doesn't bother me if I stay with the ban as long nobody else will suffer ... As far as the evidence is concerned, I doubt they have at least one phase in the game in which i seem suspicious. However, they have all these details and I am very sure that they can control them if they give a little effort . I gues they don't care about a stuppid legit player ... And I do have a proof ! I have recorded the last game i've played ! My stats shows i never got more that 2,3 kills in a match and sometime just die and moove to another game (last game 0 kills , not 10 not 15 and it will be understandable if they banned me for 5-10-15 kills). I mean if my stats will show like a crazy k/d ratio it will be understandable to remove me from the game .... my stats proof it ! I don't need proof anything ....

No it wouldn't be, unless there is real proof of malicious activity. If someone is good enough, no matter how unlikely that may seem, that can't be considered proof to take any action against them.

I am unable to feel sorry for anyone who supported a developer. that was suing other game developers for using frying pans in games and went ballistic when they were mentioned in negative way while not introducing a single original idea to the genre.

Honestly if you support a company like them you should not be surprised in any way that they are shady when it suits them.

In fact, I thought I would stop playing to see the situation in the game. I said to do a few more missions when this surprise comes from nowhere

Too bad it isn't possible to sue in that situation. If you paid for something then you are required by law to get the product or a refund when it comes to something physical.

My personal feeling on getting banned for cheating while not really cheating are :

Laugh at 1st for reading motive (CHEATING).
Start to feel proud, "O damn, i am so good i made them think i cheat".
Accept fate and agree that i "finished" a multiplayer game.
