Yeah, Supreme Commander works well. Am going to England in a couple of days so might see if I can pick up a SH copy of StarCraft in Game.

a lot of games that have maps you can switch to, like rts, you can often set up so that the map is on one screen the whole time while other screen runs live game. which frankly is kinda a waste of electricity and the more thats used the more the rates go up :p
I know im forgetting.. other games and what not that are good for 2 monitors but cant think of any at the moment...

With the advent of cheaper larger monitors, I think most devs gave up this course of development. Disappointing, cause there are plenty of us gamers out there with multiple monitor setups.

Without adding another monitor
-_- <-My wife's & accountant's faces if I tell them I bought another monitor ;) "for the business" ;).

I think you can use 2 also(Not sure exactly), guess that was a bad example...although having that face stare at you might be worth it ;-D.

Nah, I know you can use two, but the problem is that when you're aiming at stuff, the middle of the viewport is right in the cleft between the two monitors' frames, so you're constantly staring at the join. With Supreme Commander 2, the action is in one "window" and the overview is in the other. I.e. two distinct pictures, not one continuous image and you can flip between the two different views. In a flight sim, you have the one continuous view, but it's easier to play the bar down the middle off as being part of the frame of the plane's cockpit window.
With most other games however, the "crosshair" or other action is in the center. With a third monitor, the crosshair would be in the centre of the middle screen and the other two monitors provide peripheral views. With two monitors, you're constantly distracted by the black bar in the middle.

Hmm that sorta sucks...not sure then, good luck finding games though, would be neat to get some that look nice.

Hey all, I have 2x19" widescreen monitors (1440x900) for work, but I've only ever used both for gaming on Supreme Commander 2 and FreeFlight (open source flight sim). All other games I play on just one monitor. They're hooked up to a single dual-head video card (if that matters).
I've looked at just playing regular games stretched across both screens but because I only have two, the centre of the viewport is at the join of the two monitors, which I'm guessing would suck for...well...almost all games but especially FPSes, right? Without adding another monitor, are they any games (or even types of games) you can recommend that make good use of two monitors?
