I only really use my Steam wishlist for unreleased games and to highlight a few current bundled games GAs on SG so it definitely won't work for me

sure it isn't the most perfect solution. my line of thought was just that if someone really, really wanted to play the game, there is a good chance they had wishlisted it a while ago. i know it's not flawless, i just wanted to give it a better chance at receiving a good home.

Id view it as an imperfect solution as someone who loathes the idea of having 1000+ games on my wishlist.😖
Like I would love to play AC Valhalla, Odyssey, etc. But Im yet to play Origins, hence only that is on my wishlist.
Sometimes i may like the idea of a game, but I might want to weigh playing it against other games similar or otherwise.
Why would I wishlist everything under the sun? Sounds like pure gluttony to me.
Besides I don't think wanting something more than someone is a good criteria to get things, what if they don't deserve it ... What if they have 500 unplayed games but have the game you are giving on wishlist. As opposed to someone with a total of 70 games that have even been played and would love to play your game. Who do you think is likely to appreciate that game most?
This is simply the way I see it if I had to give a game I cared about, I dont think most people care who deserves or doesn't. Which is fine for them. I would go to one of the Playing matters sort of groups and lay the rule of wanting the game played within X months.

ya know, i just realized that's what i would normally do, but it didn't even cross my mind this time.
after reviewing the winner, i'm gonna deem this failure. high game/wishlist count. hasn't played the first game - nor owns it. no fault of theirs though, the criterion was clear and they passed. perhaps slightly dishonest given the spirit of the giveaway, but what can ya do?
i think next time i'll just stick it with playing appreciated and hope they enjoy their time with the game.

You just made me realize ... I don't have it on wishlist. I loved Elex I and I hope to either won it or get this month Choice as it's a mainlainer for me.
People in my country are known for being Gothics lovers. Frankly speaking I've never played it. I gave Elex a try. It was 'woody', moves were ... hehehehe.. but overall wonderful experience and world that was created around it.

just use sgtools to make a gated giveaway for people that have had the game wishlisted for a few months. (for instance, since july 1st of this year). be sure to let me know if it's broken.
