I've looked into this after having to switch back every time and nothing worked so far. It's amazing how shitty they can continue to make it. First they FORCE you to make a separate account and then they keep pestering you with account switching for no reason
If you go to Youtube settings>overview>advanced settings. There is a 'signing in to older apps' and 'show channel selector' to change it supposedly. But it didn't help me in the least, maybe it works for you.

As of recent, every damn time I try to comment or anything of the like, I'll notice YT switched to my(mandatorily made) Google + account revealing my real full name and then I have to go to thru Add Account, and sign in to the same email and then it'll let me choose and use my YouTube alias that I've been using for years. Anybody know how to set defaults on this so I don't have to do this process every day? Please tell me there's a way lol.
