yay, chocolate and cake day. <3 spent all morning cuddling with my cats and then eating chocolate cake for lunch in my pajamas, and now I'm going to spend the afternoon playing darkest dungeon and deadpool. Who needs a boyfriend?

Figured I'd do something nice for someone though. I have a spare key for Pillars of Eternity, but it's the GOG version so I can't just give it away here. Instead, post your cutest valentines story, and I'll pick a winner in the next hour or so, though I will check you haven't got the game on steam first. EDIT: game has been given away. :D

Have a great Singles Awareness Day. <3

Happy single awareness day ♥

I'm not in, I already have the game (and it's the best game of last year!), just giving this thread a small bump.

Darkest dungeon would actually be a very nice and fitting game for valenties day ^_^ or any day really, but i guess not everyone is into that kind of games though (:

also, it doesnt have to be dark though because darkness can be scary. i like my dungeons well lit, but to each his own i suppose

Two simple stories w/a moral:
Some years ago I was quite sick, so I lived at home with my mother. It was Valentine's Day and we were having bunch just the two of us. My brother in-law came in (he's a really quiet guy) and gave us each a red rose, hugged us and then left.

Later, when I was better again, I went to work in a (low-income) senior care facility. On Valentine's day i bought carnations for all the ladies and left them in their rooms while they were having lunch. They were all so happy.. they didn't know where they came from but t really made their day.

Moral: Small acts of kindness could mean the absolute world to someone. It takes almost nothing to be kind and the way it reverberates into the world you can never know the effect it can have on ... and its rarely forgotten.

Happy Valentine's Day

well, I really liked your stories. :) I remember on mother's day, like 10+ years ago, I was out for lunch with my mum + grandma, and the restaurant gave both of them a red rose after lunch. Made them smile all day, little things make such a difference.

I'll add you on steam and give you the game code. (:

I....don't really have any cute Valentine's Day stories.
Every year (although mostly as a joke) I sent a friend a valentine's day card/animation (this was the earlier days of the internet...remember email card link sites? :D) from doodie.com. The site is still up, but they sorta changed direction now, so it is hard to explain. They were mostly "cute", poop related animated jokes.
She's married now, but that hasn't stopped me :D.

Wish I had a story but being that VD is more of a western holiday and I was older before it caught onto slightly more within my culture, nothing really to tell. We do nice things for each other throughout the year and for no special occasion. Kids get into it more because of the candy/chocolate mainly.
My best friends first son was born on Valentines Day and I joked around to name him Valentino and they did! But it was one of his middle names so he wouldn't get teased as much. Doesn't stop me from calling him that every time I see him though :). And I'm pretty sure when he finds that special somebody, he won't mind being called that as opposed to when I do it.

Happy VD to you or single awareness day as you prefer...for now :).
