Seriously though, isn't that what birthdays are really for? I mean, celebrating it's been X years since your birth is a bit silly, considering you played a very insignificant role in that. If birthdays were about birth, they'd have to be for your mother, not yourself. In stead, I prefer to look at it as simply not dying for a year. It might not be a huge accomplishment since many people don't die every year, but not being dead is still a pretty good thing so why not have a party based on that?
