It's neat, but sounds even worse then the piece of wood i'm currently using.

EDIT: No weaponry in here, sorry.
So I got a pretty sweet bonus the other day and now I'm trying to pick a new guitar for meself. Finally, a good, sound instrument to get me through composing and recording and practising and just fooling around with ease.
When I started to browse, soon I realised it's freaking hard to choose a mighty fine guitar if you decided not to pick a Gibson. Or a Fender. Or any of extreme-shaped ones.
So, folks, what would you recomend to a fellow musician for playing a wide range of genres from blues to metal? (Under a thousand bucks)
