I heard there is an activation limit, meaning you can only activate a certain amount of Steam keys per day. Is it true? If so what is the limit?

No. There is anti-bruteforce mechanism if you try to activate too many invalid cd-keys in short period.

Duplicate keys will also contribute toward this limit

Was this not proven to be any activation attempts valid or otherwise, I know I've been locked out after buying a number of bundles to catch up and trying to activate everything back to back.

That would mean that whilst there's technically no direct daily limit you'd still only be able to activate so many keys during any given "daily" period"

Duplicated and AlreadyOwned cd-keys also contribute to the limit.

Successfully activated keys reset the limit.

Actually i faced that thing when you activate too much correct keys aswell, i was filling in my humble bundle + groupees bundle and it said i have to chill out after like 10-20 keys in short period of time.

My limit is 50 successfully activated keys in a row (has been proven many times).
Last time, when I reached it, was several months ago, but I don't think that something was changed.
I'm curious why limit differs. Maybe it depends on number of games in library, account age, etc.
I haven't heard about larger limits, so 50 keys * 24 hours will be 1200 keys per day. You need to be online almost 24 hours to do it though :D

Was it recently? IIRC it was like I said above, but maybe they changed the algorithm again.

It was like 2 or 3 month ago, i though they do it the same way as when you buy 10 games from the market in 10 different bags you know

50 key limit, tested by myself last month.

Someone asked the same question, and I actually counted all of the keys I activated.

I've been cleaning up my bundle sites to make some GA's, I've added over 200 keys in about 4 days, only came across 2 duplicate keys.
Hope that gives you some idea.

Awesome, thanks! I'm also doing some cleaning and I expect to add about 50 keys.

FYI I've just activated 35 keys at once and nothing bad happened

I remember being blocked after 30 or 35 successful activations, it was 1 or 2 years ago when I was cleaning an old bundle list. According to other posts, it looks like they changed this number since that.
