OP wants to know how many giveaways one can create without sending gifts before getting banned.

If you do not deliver a certain amount of gifts, you can never send gifts again and wanted to know how many are.

Not sure if there are changes to the rules but as far as I know, when you first start your account, you'll have certain amount of gift slots(credits). Not sure but I think you have 1 or 2 chances. If you create a giveaway without actually giving the game, it'll be marked "not received" and then you will lose a slot. now if you have only 2, then you can only troll 2 times.
On the contrary, you get more slots for ever successful giveaways.

but then again, I'm not sure, it is purely based from my experience as a legit gifter, I never have given out something that's not in my possession.

You have 3 starting giveaway slots, which increase by 1 for every 3 successfully completed giveaways following. The moderators can reset your giveaway slots if for some reason you run out [eg, creating 3 giveaways and then deleting them all 'cause you misunderstood the site], but it's presumably not especially likely that they'd allow that for slots lost due to unsent giveaways, given that the entire purpose of the slot limitation is to prevent site misuses of that nature.

That said, staff has repeatedly mentioned that if they feel you're getting too many Not Receiveds, then you may be at risk of suspension until you resolve that issue [with such actions seemingly being taken after a case by case evaluation, rather than any set number of Not Receiveds].

It's not a set number.
It's whenever support finally gets sick of you doing it.

Thanks, this was the worst thing I did, because I thought that if I created a giveaway of a game and another one that was not allowed on the site would be okay, but this was already solved I was already banned and wanted to re-post giveaways.

You submit a ticket, you state your case, and then you wait. Support will get to you. Their decision is final. No amount of posting in the forums will change that or give you a better chance.

While not banned, OP is out of GA slots, and apparently the help tickets aren't yielding more slots yet. So, not "banned", but "banned from creating new gifts" for now.

You have a number of giveaway slots then get used up when you create giveaways. You get slots back when your giveaways are completed and marked as "received" (plus a bit extra, so after a few GAs you end up with more slots than you started with). If you ever run out of slots and want to make more giveaways you can ask support to help you out.

This way naturally limits fake giveaways while giving everyone leeway in case they make a mistake. So don't worry, you're fine - IIRC you still have one more slot left so you can still make GAs if you want, and after a while you'll have plenty of slots.

Nobody can help you except the support. If your ticket is still open then all you can do is wait.

He might have lost the last slot by deleting a giveaway himself or by support.

I had deleted other tickets because they answered me, I answered but in the end it ended up being that way, but this new ticket I detailed everything that happened and I was not answered. It's been 2 days, I'm getting apprehensive, my dream is to go back to post giveaways.

We have thousands of tickets, and many of them are of higher priority than your issue. We are not purposely ignoring you, but there are only a few of us. Please be patient.

He wants to re-gift free giveaways.
Or try to give them away and then not give them like the current 2 giveaways of him, I dunno.

While you wait for us to respond to your ticket, you are still free to enter any giveaways you might like to win. In the meantime, please do not spam the forum, please do not spam more tickets about your issue, please do not hassle the Mods through Steam. Just wait your turn.

Once I was banned for not activating a game (wich I did). After some investigation I discovered I received a serial number for a different game than the one I should have won. They had similar names.

I hope you changed it to not received, if you can't change it yourself, make a support ticket to ask them to change it for you.

They unbanned me after I told them what happened. I don't know what happened with the guy who gave me the wrong key.
I didn't change to unreceived because I did receive a key, but for another game.

But now you are marked as a rule breaker + can't participate most of the sgtool giveaways because someone else broke the rules.

Never mark a win "received" unless and until you have redeemed it to your Steam library. It was wrong of you to mark it "received." Once you find that the game is not the one you were promised, your first action should be to make sure that you have NOT marked it "received."

I didn't even notice it wasn't the right game until I got banned. I got the key, activated and done. Months later I was banned. It took me some days to understand what happened. And it was months ago. The games names were similar. Do you think I should open a complain ticket?

If you never received the game, it's the creator's fault. If I were the one in such a situation, I would contact the creator. If the creator was unable to provide the correct game, he/she should request a deletion of the giveaway (with your permission). If the creator flat-out refused to "make good" on the promised game or cooperate in deletion of the giveaway, I would file a User Report for "Misleading Giveaway."

If you do it on purpose, it's grounds for instant suspension. That's usually hard to prove though...
Usually, if you can argue that it was a honest mistake because you lost the key, key seller is at fault, it was for the wrong game, it didn't work, you made it by accident, wrong region, etc. etc. nothing happens. Except you lose that slot of course, but usually that's no penalty at all.
Sometimes you can even force a deletion or reroll without the winner even knowing what happened or giving consent by logging a support ticket. That's happened to me multiple times. Then you still lose the slot but you don't take any Not Received for the record.

I created two giveaways of a game but in the description havi said that it was another game because in my mind I thought that everything was fine. This is 10 months ago, now obviously I know the rules and now I have other giveaway games (not just the sleengter)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I think this was suggested in your other thread, but can't you try and contact the winners of your two giveaways and ask if they still want the keys promised? If they receive and activated keys for those games they could change the "Not Received" to "Received" and you'd get your slots back to make new giveaways.

That's only if 10 month old giveaways can still be changed like that of course, I'm not sure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
