Seriously speaking, you definitely should try them out. Demon's Souls had one of the best single player experiences i can remember, and Dark Souls is just amazing in every aspect. =3

You definitely should buy it. Even without a sale it's totally worth it. 100%.
Be prepared to mod it though, with DSFix. It's worth the effort. (and there's really almost no effort required)
But yeah, don't fall to the temptation of other games! They're only a distraction on the way to greatness. >;L
