It's a dick move really, and you should get the OK from the creator first.
You're thinking of it in terms of you saving money but you should think in terms of you basically negating part fo someone else's gift they spent their money on. It's not against the rules but it goes against the spirit of the site if you ask me.

It's only a dick move if you have a good amount of the content of the package, but it's best to clear it up with the gift creator first.

it is okey or not okey, for example, if one have the magicka base game, but enters a complete magicka giveaway? (it has all dlc, at least current ones)
consider that buying all the dlc in ths weekend would cost $20, the complete pack is just $6,24, and base game is only $2,49 so the dlc cost more than the base game.
