Heyah peeps, I'm in a bit of trouble!

I had to format my C disk while Storage disk (D) was untouched,

When I want to open the disk it's greyet out and it asks me to format it.. I have 2tb of needed files and stuff..

Anyway to turn it back on? i have no idea's.. http://imgur.com/aQoDrvC

I had this with my 1TB external HDD. I've tried everything that I could, couldn't retrive my files back. I'm so sorry for you but I hope you can manage it. ;_;.

You could try to force its reading on linux (install it on an USB drive and run it) but it could either work or not.
I also suggest you to read/have some manual/walkthrough with you during the operation if you've never used linux before because you'll have to use some text based command, can't do it via GUI.

Depends on what the problem is, you can try to recover the MBR, use some recovery software.
In theory it isn't always just lost, but it takes some skill (it isn't so simple as flipping a switch) and time (2tb can take up a whole day to scan) and maybe even a second 2tb drive as backup to copy your stuff too.

First go to your windows icon and type diskmgm, and screenshot what the disks say and look like there.

The disk became Raw that's why it's asking me to format it, I'll test it with the program TestDisk and see..

Pretty much as i said, fixing the raw will take another drive and a whole day (have experience with it).

I used DMDE to recover my documents than formatted the disk and it's all good now! ( if anyone would need it dmde easy to use )
