Just wondering about the quality of connection around the world, for the test you can use this
And if you don't mind me asking, can you add how much you pay, where do you live (state will do just fine), and whether you have FUP (limited data download/speed, usually per month).

A few year back I was in an area (just 7 miles away from where I live now) where the only option was BT's Totalbroadband. Their Uncapped service, was £32 a month IIRC. It was rated as upto 20Mbit. We would usually get 2Mbit, and sometimes if we were having a good day we'd hit a high 4Mbit.

I'm now living in a cabled area (Stoke-on-trent, England). We currently have a 50Mbit connection and has no bandwidth cap for the same price we were paying BT in the other area. We also have a free upgrade to 110Mbit coming in two months time.

Honestly I don't know, We had it free for a few months because it was on trail. But I don't think its that expensive as its available to everyone down here and is being put in all across UK at the moment.
