Well, the big ones I only ever do once. The smaller ones I often try repeatedly to get the best leaderboard time.
No autism, but I do have a few strategies that seem to work well, especially for the "bad" puzzles where there are a lot of pieces all one colour that require bruteforcing.
I often don't do them in one eye-bleeding stretch, pausing it to come back to it later between games. Helps with the hard ones. :D

What size monitor do you use? I have a 24" 1920x1200, so I can zoom out a bit and still see details.
I do every jigidi I see people post on here, even if I know I won't enter the giveaway, so maybe it's just a matter of practice.
