Actually I do want to see ultimatums tossed my way at LEAST once a month lol I like "or else." and "or I'll leave." and my personal favorite "Or I'll sue!". Sometimes I have an odd sense of humor. But sometimes such ppl are capable of golden material and I could use a laugh or two these days.

We've done it before for the truly stupid ones as mini-PSAs of what you should never, ever do. Lokonopa had some beautiful ones back in his days. I miss him.

Hmm. It still strikes me as inappropriate. Publishing support tickets, even if they are italicizedly stupid, would make me somewhat more hesitant to submit a support ticket, should the need ever arise, which it never has and hopefully never will.

If you ever get to the point of submitting something we'd bother showing the rest of the community, you're long, long past saving and you're probably already a month into a permanent ban. It takes a very, very special kind of stupid to warrant that attention. You've got nothing to fear.

Pretty new here. Done a couple of GA (even redid one because I felt bad about having to cancel it just before it started), entered tons, not won, not complained. I made a new friend here, even better than my imaginary one (but don't tell Fred because he gets jealous). Easily worth more than a free game. Keep up the good work or 'insert subtle yet hilarious Monty Python quote style threat'. :)

As a former administrator of a community and gaming league full of retards and schoolboys (no offense, just a word to describe this common behavior pattern) I truly understand you and I can say that you are doing it right. Such people deserve a permanent suspension or at least +2~3 months of a ban.

I would agree that their methods in dealing with this are correct, but I believe making a whiny thread like this will just sow more discontent. Thejadefalcon's reputation is further tarnished in my eyes by the suggestion lower down about making a "Hall of Stupidity".

Okey-dokey, no more threads telling people how to avoid permanent bans, then. Shall we delete the FAQ too? That has been considered whiny by people as well. If people don't want a Hall of Stupidity, then people should stop being so mindbogglingly stupid.

I've been given an ultimatum three times in two days and I figured it was time to say something about it to you guys so I hopefully don't ever have to hear it that often again. This is roughly what's happened in each case. We've suspended someone for something or other. We do a little checking, find they haven't activated a game, so we suspend them for that too. Then we get a huge ticket bitching to us in Support about how we're abusing our power for punishing them because "other games i didn't activate from 2-3 months ago can't be like reported right now" (direct quote, I shit you not). Anyway, some of these tickets tend to go a certain way.
The users give Support an ultimatum: either we unsuspend them or they won't activate their wins.
Our response goes something along the lines of this: "Okay, then, bye. Fuck off already, I have other tickets to deal with."
We're obviously a bit more diplomatic than that in Support itself, but that's the general gist of it. If you give us an ultimatum like that, we don't want you. You obviously have absolutely no regard or respect for the site's rules or, more importantly, the gifter who gave something to you out of their own pocket. If you show that little respect for those two, I am more than willing to let a permanent suspension stay on your account solely for giving us that demand. You give us an ultimatum and we will choose the one that suits our site and our community the best. You did not fit in here and now you never will get the chance to prove that again.
Please don't be that guy.

Special note from wbarton about another form of ultimatum that we have gotten at least daily for a year, so common I forgot about it completely because it's just so vanilla to me now.
"You forgot to mention how we don't care about your giveaways, neither what you've given, nor whether you'll be making more in the future, whether you're threatening never to do it again or trying to bribe us saying you'll make more. I never understood people who think they deserve special treatment for using the site the way it was designed to be used."
