Tricolor Lovestory - Do not get the free "complete" DLC", or at least wait until you finish the game first.
Adventure of a Lifetime - Based off a real life location
Bard Harder! - A short D&D game where you flirt with the big bad boss who is also your irl crush. Watching the store page video is a must.
A Sky Full of Stars - Slow-paced and long, 4 love interests. Fully voice acted!
The Shadows of Pygmalion - More of a slow paced soft yuri fantasy lovestory, kinetic, one love interest,
Vampires' Melody Play as an incompetent thrall to a vampire, lots of bad end is but writing is excellent, story is fantastic, true end is nuclear.
SeaBed - My absolute favorite yuri game on Steam, 20+ hours, slow paced.
Lucy -The Eternity She Wished For- - Lucy is an Android with emotions in a human society hellbent on destroying her.
Fluffy Store - Has a dark story if you squint; but overall very cute and fluffy. You are broke out of college and run a family owned convenience store.

Another great one not on this list so far is Summer Pockets. I'm also a fan of the Pixelfade VN's, Ace Academy, Ethereal Enigma, and Crystalline. If you're willing to go off of steam, Katawa Shoujo is a classic, and has the added benefit of being free!

isn't Summer pockets based on an anime? do you need to have seen it first - i only know it's something to do with Clannad or Little Busters right - from the same people?

Summer Pockets is made by key, which is the same studio that made Clannad and Little Busters, but its story is separate. All of their games are independent stories, but they definitely have the same "feel" if you know what I mean. Thanks god I'm not the only one thinking this is a bit too weird of a situation.
Them again my mom is the kinda player that just skips through the plot to get to the gameplay so I really don't see her ever going for a VN, so who knows, maybe this is more normal than I thought.
