I know. It's just because it's from Microsoft, you know? They are just retarded children. They didn't even try IE much, and they don't know how to even work with it. Is IE slow? No. Is IE un-safe? Yeah, maybe if you click on every website etc... IE used to be slow. IE6 was slow, horrible. IE9 and higher is fast and good browser. I think IE8 was good too. Theres nothing bad about it anymore. But hey, it's Microsoft after all, it's popular and "IN" to hate Microsoft and especially Internet Explorer. They didn't even try IE much, like I said. Everyone hates IE, so they must too, even they don't know anything about it, they just need to be "IN" too. It's the same with Windows Vista, Windows 7 is like a upgraded version of Windows Vista, Windows Vista is just a little bit different, and it's slower, but if you have at least 3GB of RAM and some decent processor etc (which now almost everybody has), then you have no problem. Just install all Service Packs and updates. If someone still has a problem with Vista, so he's just a retard and he's installing every crap into it and he's probably full of viruses or I don't know. Like I said, most of people even didn't try Windows Vista, but they insults it anyway, because everyone does. They are just stupid sheeps, they have no their own brain. Gladly, I'm using my own brain. You know, children want to be "IN" so they must hate and like what other kids does. It's "IN" to hate on Microsoft (IE) and EA nowadays. Most of them really even didn't try Windows Vista, they just hate on it because others do. The same with IE. + because it's from Microsoft. They have no brain, they are just following the others. That's just the truth, this is no about opinions. Can't wait for kids to insult me for the truth again. If you never really tried new IE versions, and you don't know how to work with it, or you just follow the others, then shut the f.ck up kids and use your own brains, or learn to work with IE and Windows Vista. I used Firefox for a long time. Then they started going crazy with the updates, releasing 7 then 8 then 9 then 10 all within a couple months it seemed. Always bugged me to update (mostly because I hit ignore all the time).
Someone told me Chrome was much faster. I installed it and it was. I never see it update itself so I'm never bothered with that. Since I haven't used FF for like 10 versions now, I can't really comment on the state of it... but I'm very happy with my Chrome. It stores all your bookmarks and shit remotely too which is nice if you ever have to reinstall.
Another thing I really love, is that I have Chrome on my iPad (way better than Safari). If I start a new tab, it gives me a list of tabs open on my PC and I just click on one of them to open it on my iPad.

Another cool thing is that all tabs and plugins run as different processes, so if one tab crashes, you only have to close that tab and not everything.
Also, when closing multiple tabs, if you click the X, the next tab slides right under your cursor ready to close the next one. They don't re-size until you move your cursor away from the tabs. It's a little thing, but something I use a lot and really appreciate.

Firefox eats up quite a lot of RAM as well... I've seen it using upto 2GB.. But I like to have around 200tabs open at a time xD

I'm not sure about tabs crashing since I don't think I ever had my Firefox crash, but the second feature you mentioned is also available on Firefox.
BTW, isn't Chrome the one who started the crazy fast updates?

Go to oldapps.com You can easily download old versions of Firefox there. Uninstall your current version, install the old one you downloaded and then turn off prompting for updates and you're set.

It really depends on what you use a browser for. Either way, you are going to likely need to keep IE around for a few sites.
But from my own personal experience, Chrome is a massive memory hog and works on less websites. Chrome is great if you only use a few tabs. Once your tabs get over 10, Firefox is more effective for memory management even if you do run the risk of crashing the whole thing with one bad tab. I also highly dislike the fact that Chrome forces updates on you. Chrome also causes BSODs on one of my computers.
And preference wise, I don't like how some of my favorite Firefox add ons work in Chrome, that and some of them don't even exist in Chrome.

Really though I have a bunch of tabs open all time. I never close the stuff I regularly visit, and leave stuff open if it's something I need to do soon (like I have one open now for a job I should apply for and another for a recipe I'm going to make later).
Another example, I have a bookmark folder setup for keyword searches for jobs on CL. A different keyword for each bookmark. I can open all of those at once, quickly scan though each tab for new postings and move on to the next.

Then you likely don't want to know why I consistently have over 30 tabs open. I tried Chrome before, but with my browsing habits I was having massive slowdowns, switched to Firefox and they went away.
If you are curious though, I have a tab open for each forum I read often (three on GameFAQs and this forum, plus the homepage to check for new giveaways), some for some role playing I do (how many depends on how much stuff I have active), three for some blogs I follow that update often, one for fanart hunting, then some for FAQs for games I'm working on (and the game I'm working on right now has about 5 different FAQs I'm using, the joys of games with loads of stuff to collect), then Bing Rewards so I don't forget my daily searches. There's some other stuff, but that's the gist of it.
Overall, just a lot of random stuff that I will refresh often enough, but won't be around long enough to require a bookmark, or if it is, I'll open it often enough that it's just easier to me to keep a tab open. I tend to prefer to just have a tab for anything I'm going to look at regularly and close it when I no longer need it.

I think someone is just a tad bit paranoid. People say the same thing about all large businesses. Also, Mozilla is also an ad company that sells your information. I don't know why you would pick Firefox over Chrome if that is your problem. Use Opera instead.

I prefer vanilla chrome over vanilla firefox, but for raw speed (lol?) I used to use Pale Moon, which is just a slightly modified firefox. But in all honesty I'm just more familiar with firefox after so much use, but I use chrome now because it's just simple and aesthetically pleasing to me.

I use Firefox mainly because of the "recently closed tabs", "recently closed windows" and restore previous session features. I like that it has not just the most recent closed tab available but a history of them to choose from. Does Chrome have this feature?

Perhaps ask someone to help you with that? I've never had Chrome crash. The only time I ever had a problem was when my SSD became slightly corrupted due to a failing power supply, which caused me to have to system restore and have Chrome act like it was dying. xD
