What age group would you say is the "current generation"? And besides, although your bro may go to extremes, is rude and idiotic from the way you describe him, you can't generalise everyone around his age/generation and say they're all like that. When I was about 9 or 10 my mum used to always buy this crappy storebought cake with hard icing on the top that often just solidified and fell off. My brother and I were eating some and he left for a minute so I seized the opportunity and went to the mortar and pestle which conveniently contained seeds from the chilis my dad was growing at the time. Lift off the icing, stick in some seeds, place it back on. The best five minute entertainment of my life then ensued. No regrets, my brother always was and over a decade later still is a prick.

I'm positive that my little sister will grow to be exactly the same. Sadly,there is nothing I can do: If her parents ignore me even when I point out about the stupid things she does and take her side whenever there is an argument,I'd rather not care about her altogether. OP,I assume you work for your money,so you have no reason to give any of it to him. I grew up perfectly fine without any pocket money,and your brother should learn to treat you with more respect if he wants anything from you.

Also,why is everyone complaining about MLP? Everyone has the right to watch whatever they want so long as no one is harmed in the process. Judging by the number of adult-ish people who watch the show I guess it has some weird concept that they like. You may not like it,but everyone has their preferences.
