The SG mods do not officially deal with private groups.

If you get suckered into some private group and they scam you, the most we will do is ban those involved. Be careful about what groups you enter, and if there's drama, which there will be, don't ask the poor mods for advice.

Also, please note that the groups have their own rules. If you break their rules and subsequently removed from the group, we will not be able to assist you in getting back inside the group or discipline the moderators. Even if you win a giveaway, if you do not meet their rules, it's within their rights, if noted, to not gift you what you've won. These groups exist as separate entities of SteamGifts and not within our jurisdiction, so to speak.

Fantastic addition. Also, it is fully within their rights to just suddenly change their rules, no matter how unfair. We only step in if site rules are broken.

Yay for my group (Tech Jawa) having 100% feedback for gifts received and having zero drama except non-english speaking people spamming spam links in the comments - but we just kick them.
