Issue with Steam 25 symbol retail keys.

I've noticed tonight,that there is some issue with activating retail steam keys that are 25 symbols long,but short ones work fine. Does anyone have the same problem?

This has happened to me with some SimBin keys on Steam, make sure there are no spaces in the beginning.
If that doesn't work, type it manually.

Same shit,tryed everything. Everything is fine with small keys(15 symbols)... that is the strange part. Tested it with 4 diff games - all say Invalid and all the keys are puchased by me personally.

Then they aren't steam keys.
If they say they are, contact steam and ask if they are.

Dude 20 diff games so far doesn't activate with 25 char codes....U mean that all of them aren't steam?

Well, if they aren't working, you have 2 options;

  1. Don't use them
  2. Contact Steam.

Where did I exactly ask for help? I've puted a notice on a problem that considers us all as a steam users. And how "Don't use them" is a valid option.

Because of formatting. :P

Preface with [][]()() and it will destroy the formatting at the start of the line. I had to do it for a post starting with #Reload.

It could be a Desura Game Key and not a Steam Game Key

Yeah, just now I activated small keys fine, but got invalid keys when activating Shattered Horizon and Sniper Ghost Warrior, they're both 25 symbols.

Have you ever tried to redeem those keys with hyphens removed?
"Dawn of Fantasy" could be activated on Steam by using the Desura key with hyphens removed.
I don't know this works or not in this case.

Nope doesn't work this way too,just tried it. Sadly Steam support is so great on responses,that it will take at least a week,to resolve this.

Sometimes removing "-" solves the issue, like happened with GT Legends game keys, ppl who made giveaways of this game on gameminer without warning others about they have to remove the "-" before trying to activate them, got their giveaways marked as not received/fake.

It's solved now, I think. A few days ago I tried to trade my retail Portal key for Sword of The Stars The Pit, and the guy said it's invalid. Fortunately I had the reference card, so I made a picture about it for him, and sent it, so he knew I'm not a scammer, just I tried to trade the key, when these issues happened. Tomorrow he said he couldn't contact Steam Support, but he was able to redeem it. I had Portal from the free period back in 2010, and I thought that it was a degraded version, since it couldn't load HL 2 items, so most of the mods didn't work on it, and when Portal 2 came out, I decided to buy both, but Steam didn't asked for Portal 1's key.

It was a Steam problem - the keys are bought from different stores so it isn't up to them too.
