I remember reaching a level where spikes were so plentiful that I legit gave up and never played it since. It can get brutal.

Once you grasp the controls the game isn't difficult when you're calm and patient, but when you start to feel angry it just gets more difficult. I wouldn't like playing this game as a kid even if it looks kid-friendly.
