'specialist' stores, especially in Akihabara often add additional margin just for that. So if you do not look for something rare, big chains have a quite large variety (Bic Camera/Yodobashi/ Donki etc). Than you can compare to amazon/kakau :)
If you like Gundam, check online date - they are removing 'life size' figure from Odaiba around that time AFAIR.

Don't have much knowledge about specific shops as I'm not into manga/anime. I am based in tokyo though, so can probably help with more general things. If you're looking for something specific, I can try and check sites in Japanese for you too.

Mandarake is the best! I only went to the one in Akiba, but they have a section of really cheap gundams - starting from 300 yen if I remember correctly. They also have some figures in that section, but not that many.

Hello everyone,
I'll be travelling to japan this April and and will probably do some figure,gundam,kamen rider shopping at the same time,
Would love to have an opinion from the local or those who have been there about the shop that I should look upon on.
So far on my list is Mandarake Akiba and Nakano,Is there any other shop that sells figures at a good price?
