This is mildly infuriating.

It's the third time I went from level 2 to level 3 and the system takes me back to level 2 after a couple days I give away something.
I'm not sure how SteamGifts is calculating levels but this is just unacceptable.

Most likely you are doing something wrong, not the system.

Whenever Daedalic puts the Armageddon bundle on sale, all games in it suddenly get their CV increased by fivefold or so. You have two affected games, so most likely you are experiencing that fluctuation, like anyone who ever gave away a game like this.

I see. Sorry about that but I'm not following this forum and it happened three times in a row, so I'm a bit upset, otherwise I wouldn't have posted.

Aye it hurts a bit. Games/Giveaways loose value after they end up in a bundle and such.

Maybe some games you gave away are now part of a bundle or lost their value. That happens.
There was a day I was 2.65 and dropped to 2.25. Some games I gave dropped from full CV to zero.

OK but when it happens 3 times, after 3 new giveaways, you ought to think something is wrong...

Not really, the database that lists the reduced and no-CV games is maintained by hand. Also, due to how Steam works, a permanent price reduction will permanently affect CV too. And many indie games that were not one-off asset flips put on the store and immediately forgotten, like to play the price reduction game.

You can also check your GAs value. Get all value of full CV and reduced value CV and check if it's right.

Might there is a tool for that. Maybe sgtools have.
