I can't really say I get it, there are some sites that give their game for free, but they just let you download not give u a steam key which u can use to giveaway.

Most of us aren't finding freebies to give away, we buy game bundles that include games that we want, then give away the ones that we don't want.

Just so you're aware, giving away freebies doesn't give you any points toward your level. They are 0 CV.

I buy bundles from Fanatical from time to time, but only if I want most of the games. Then I give away the rest. I've gotten my value out of it then, and I don't play certain types of games. They actually do have some pretty decent bundles at times.

I also get the Humble Monthly, but of course, those are significantly more expensive.

some people use money to buy those games, like, instead of buying stuff for themselves, they give them to random people.

gifting is crazy, it's pretty hard to understand. T_T

I like finding a bargain, but I don't want to make my backlog bigger. So, I buy games when they're cheap and give them away. Maybe it's a kind of self punishment for having a backlog...

Too much hassle, it's easier to remove the licenses of owned games, then I can activate everything from the bundle I bought. I paid for it, it's mine. ALL MINE! /s
