So I have a friend reading me a topic from another board on this and it cot me wondering the same thing.

What;s your favorite flavor of ice cream, SG?

Mines coffee cookie crunch. Had it at an OLD mom and pop place. Made in house and it was AMAZING!

Among the common ones, pistachio.

Among the weirder ones... Tikka masala for sure. Borodinsky bread close second.

Ice cream is very expensive.
I usually buy 2 litre tubs for 4 bucks, Chocolate Fudge Sundae is good at that price point.
If I feel like spoiling myself once a year I might buy a 900ml tub of Raspberry & White Chocolate, but that's 10 bucks, which is a lot.
Ben & Jerry's is out of my league, it's like $15 for an insultingly small quantity.

Lots of choices, but probably Moose Tracks. While not ice cream, blood orange sorbetto is second.

I had Caja gelato in Portugal and it rocked! Too bad it was only a "special" and they don't have it anymore.
Guess I will have to go to Brazil for the others ;)

The gf and I have been talking about a serious stay in Brazil (we don't want to go all the way there and just drink caipirinhas on the beach in Rio like Instagram tourists, you know? we want to see the country) but yeah Covid put a dent in all that.
We are both foodies. We love to sample local cuisine and from all accounts, Minas Gerais was high on the list of recommendations.

Hope all is well up there on the Great White North, mate. o/

Heh well it's summer so I'm alright in the Great White North. Or should I say Tudo tranquilo mano. E você? tudo bem? ;)

Nothing beats homemade ice cream!

For myself, depends on the seasons and also on what I've been obsessed with recently but I fell in love with Maud's Poor Bear Delight when I first visited Ireland. It's a "simple vanilla" ice cream with honeycomb.
Since I can't get it here, I started making my own version inspired from it: a lightly smoked honey ice cream with sea salt and honeycomb nuggets. It's the one I'm currently obsessed with.

But if you give me a nice passion fruit gelato, I'm a happy camper.

Anything mint but because that's hard to get here, my second choice is any type of chocolate, really!

Dulce de leche granizado. (Milk caramel with chocolate sprinkles, is the best translation I could think of, but I don't know if it's a flavor that you could get outside latin america)

Ben & Jerry's Mint Chocolate Cookie. I'm up for any mint flavored ice cream, but not a fan of the cold, hard bits of barely chocolate flavored bits that almost every other mint ice cream has. There's a few other brands with mint that doesn't have the terrible chocolate bits issue, but the cookies in the Ben & Jerry's one works well with the mint flavor, and the quality is always top notch.

My dad chose apple pie flavour when we were on holiday once (I chose my usual banana). He let me have a taste of this and ohhh my god it tasted like apple pie and custard. Instantly regretted my choice! And I've never been back there so I never got to have it, but also never forgot it. So I'd say that :P Otherwise banana (strawberry, cinnamon or salted caramel as runners up).
