I've just had a notice on steam, saying that my key from Groupees build a bundle 42 (Sept 18), was revoked "Because a pre-release beta or test period has ended".

To my knowledge, the key was never promoted as a "beta" key.

Got a new key from the dev via e-mail within a few minutes.

I assume you also got the key from the Groupees bundle. Did you mention where you got the key from? Just curious because he now claims that Groupees hasn't paid him.

Yes, got it there. Send a screenshot of the Groupees key page. He will send you another key.

Fuck this, I won't do an effort to get another key for a shitty game because its developer had a hissy-fit. It's not an SG win, and not a I game care about. Reported it as legal violation and good day to them.

I have a few questions in general about revoked keys, please point me to a thread if one already exists.

What happens on Steamgifts, will a revoked license be counted as a not-activated key? (in other words, after it has been detected as activated, are there other automated checks later on?)

Edit: also these revoked keys have some relevance for the SGTools "all activated games" rule.

Is there a thread with a list of mass-revocation events? Can be interesting, to see the game, date and bundle site that was involved. I keep the account alert messages for now, not acknowledging the "I have read this message" box so it will be displayed later on. Otherwise there is NO TRACE AT ALL in the account info https://store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/ , because the list of activated licenses doesn't list the revoked license anymore. A better way for Steam to handle this would be to list the activation and revocation as a pair of events, instead of just deleting the activation event with all evidence gone forever.

Yes.

Yes. Whenever you sync your account. Automatic syncing happens every 14 days, I think. Otherwise you can manually sync at any time.

Yes. Steam API does not detect your win because it is revoked. So SGTools and SG in general can not detect your win on your account, thus the API "thinks" you did not activate your win.

After Knsys add this game to SGtools whitelist, it will no longer flag users as having inactivated wins.

And when we're aware of revoked keys, we don't suspend users for having inactivated wins. It is also possible to send screenshot of revocation page in other ticket category, so that we can change status to not received. May take bit of time, as it must be processed by Super Moderators.

I was also caught up in this one. Sent an email to: Email address: info@no70game.com with a screenshot to them from the bundle and received this response:

Hello,
We understand your victimization. We are trying to solve this problem. Until we do it; we will give a key for you.
We just want that please edit your Negative Comment to a Positive Comment from you about you get a new key from us.
Here it is your key; <redacted>

If you're using a gmail account - check your spam folder, it goes straight there for some reason.

I got the same "pre-release beta or test period has ended" reason for my key getting revoked: https://imgur.com/a/qCtImLS
Doesn't add up to what the dev claims from https://steamcommunity.com/app/370440/discussions/1/1837937637881558423/:

We cancelled many illegal product keys. We understand your victimization. If you send us an email with proof screenshot (about you got the game in your library), we will help you.
